could-have-been's

Okay, so it could have been that USA was able to score a goal in the last few minutes and bring it into penalties. But sadly, no. My beloved USA soccer team is out of the World Cup. And my nerves were not ever considered. D: I think it was a great team effort at the end, they tried so very hard, and although it wasn't their day, I still love you USA. ♥

I mean, this isn't just a soccer thing and I chose USA to support. USA is where I grew up, where I practically learned how to speak, read, spell, the place where I experienced my very first day in school, my first friends, basically first for everything. It's definitely the place I'd say is my hometown. I am mentally attached to it. Hearing the anthem before the game brings pride into my heart because its the only anthem I actually know. American English is the only language I can actually speak. (Not including like a 100 words of French). Its my home, and I don't only support it for the sake of supporting it, I love America.

So evidently, I'm very disappointed that they lost to Ghana, but good effort, you guys played your hearts out. Donovan and Bradley, you are still my heroes. :)

As for the MLB, I can hardly understand a single line of the scoreboard, but lets hope the Boston Red Sox are doing okay. :) HAHA.

And omg, watch the trailer. :)

stone throw away

Landon Donovan,

You are the man.

----

Yes, watched the game last night. Thank goodness the mamak store in Centrepoint showed both matches. At the 91st minute, I went absolutely bonkers. :D Screamed like crazy and jumped out of my chair, everythingg. USA, you are amazing. :) There was a big crowd of Americans screaming with me too. :D We made more noise than the England supporters.

But honestly, USA shouldn't only score at like, the 3rd last minute. It puts too much pressure on my poor nerves. D:

Okay, so I'm hoping, praying, that Mexico beats Argentina and England wins against Germany, and and South Korea beats Uruguay. I don't care what you guys think. I don't like Argentina's uniform and Michael Ballack has a weird name. HAHA. :P

School has been pretty okay, with all its drama and everything. I've been holding up. Moved to the new Resource 4, under Uncle Kevin now. :) It's very quiet and veryy cold. I almost froze today. And very isolated. Its like, I hardly talked to the people in Resource 1 nowadays.

My math has been such a pain. On 1201 now, and its complicated. Not exactly hard, just complicated. :P And since none of the supervisors are familiar with it, its very hard to get help.

Uncle Kevin shared a good devotion today. Jeremiah 1. Go read it. You were put where you are right now for a reason. Just like how God knew Jeremiah before he was even formed in the womb. Just like how Esther was placed in the palace for the very reason of saving her people.

Scenario for the week : It's tough being a woman thrown a giant-sized weight. (Esther - Beth Moore)

comparison

#o1. I cannot believe school starts tomorrow. D:
#o2. The Celtics lost. Gosh, that is just saddening.
#o3. Despite all the comments that the Red Soxs are doing badly this season, I still have faith in them. :)
#o4. The WC keeps me awake up to 4 in the morning. It's totally worth it.
#o5. USA seriously should of won their last match, the referee disqualified their 3rd goal for no reason whatsoever. What a bummer, I know. You guys still can win the next one. ♥
#o6. My eyelids feel like they are weights holding them down.
#o7. I am currently in the middle of reading Sense and Sensibility. Jane Austen is seriously such a hero. I'm wondering though, what is the difference between sense and sensibility?
#o8. I should go study for a LPT tmr and do my evil Essentials of Communication projects. D: Evil evil, indeed. I have to pick one of the three pairs (Peter and John, Philip and Nathaniel, and Thomas and Matthew) and make an essay on why they were paired together. Greeaattt.
