you don't know what you have...

... until you lose it.

What truth in that little saying. I shall explain it in the end. hahah.

Anyways, we are back from a totally exciting, fun, exhilarating, and exhausting vacation. I do not miss you all, don't even ask that. wahaha. :P Well, I better start the long discribtion and let pictures do the talking. I have exciting news and sad news. :\

So, we arrived in Swiss Garden at 2ish, after lunch in A&W. Immediately, we headed of to the pool. This is a definite must for the Chang family. muahah. :) It was 5 ft deep, which is exactly how tall I am, so I had to cut water the entire time or hang on to the wall. Thank goodness I'm a brilliant swimmer, and I'm not boasting. I've beaten my sis, dad (well, I beat them always) and Weeyen in a swimming race. hahah. Pics of the pool, acoming.

The lobby is like totally filled with water.
Thus, the reflection of the roof. :)

&this was surronding the paino. It's rice, and it's NOT glued on.

The rooms are really cool. We got a connecting room with our parents, and beach view instead of garden view as well. It was really nice. I really adore the toilet cause the walls are practically made out of mirrors. :D Woosh, camwhores appear. And, not only me. :P

And, of course. The beach. On Monday, Daddy, my sis, and I went jet skying. It was cool. Not scary at all, and I was so scared at first, till I saw the machine. wahaha. It's really heavy and yea, so safe, nothing can happen to you. You don't even get wet! haha. The dude that works there took his baby girl out on it as well. :D I got pictures, but it was so far away, how to see?

Told you it was heavy. It took all 4 men to get it in.

I got bored. Can't blame me. ;D

Really cool designs in the sand. I did not create it.

We rented bikes on Sunday. Biked to a 7-11 nearby and bought slushies, etc. Yums! Yea, I certainly had fun! :D

Lunch on Monday! Like, YUM. We ate at the hotel and they had the most beautiful arrangement of desserts, I couldn't resist taking pictures. :)

There's more, but I'll stop before you guys get too hungry. Just post enough to make you jealous. LOL. hahah. And, there was an ice cream bar and my sister made a fabulous ice cream.

Chun, eh?

Talking about bars, the buffet breakfast in the mornings are scrumptious! I love to salad bar. Like for once, olives and pickles and cheese and my stomach grumbles!! :P

And, I swam in the pool every single day for at least 4 hours, except for today, and you'll find out why later. ;D I'm really DARK and my nose got sunburned, it's terribly painful and scalping, etc. (:

That's about it for the vacation. Well, the good news. Are you ready for the bad news? hahah. Okay, so on Sunday, my glasses broke. As in, the gripper thingy for the nose part, you-know-what-I-mean. Yea, so I put in my contacts and we went to town and fixed my glasses. On Monday, we went jet skying so I put in my contacts just in case I fall out and need to see, right? Everything went well till after we were finished and I went swimming in the pool. I know, bad me. Came out of the pool, and one eye was blur. When I tried taking out my contact, nothing was there. Thus, one side of my contacts is missing. Like, argghhh.

Next bad news. Get prepared okay.

From this.

To this.

Let me explain. So, on Monday night, we went to dinner, that is, the whole World Vision family. And then, they wanted to go eat jelly ice so my family tagged along as well. There was these swings there, and Mom and Aunty Sharon were sitting there talking about a competion on the swings when I decided I wanted to swing. So I sat on this swing with everyone crowded around and I was building up my speed and going really fast and high... whennnn...

You guessed it wrongly. I did not fly out or do a flip up into the sky or something stupid like that. The swing broke on me. As in, the sitting part broke. And thank God, I was at the bottom when it happen so my drop was pretty low. Guess what? The swing was tied with string. Like, hello!! Sue the Kuantan government, seriously! If the swing is broken, don't even bother fixing it with string! Yea, so I landed on my feet and I thought I was okay. Got up, acted normal and answered every concerned "Are you okay?" with a "yes" for awhile till I realized that my slipper was covered with blood. My toe nail was ripped off, well at least half of it and I killed some of the nerves in my skin around that. I think my whole toe is dead at this point. And the other wound on my left foot, it was really minor yetserday night, and now it hurts like a billion bees keep stinging me. Honestly, I can hardly walk. oh, the pain. :\

That brings us back to title. So many times, we take our healthy body and our blessings for granted. And even during a great vacation like I had, I had to learn a lesson. Indeed, we don't realize how much we are blessed with... till we lose it.

On a lighter note, that means no PE for me tmr. And that is good news, excuss me. I've had enough of sun for at least a week. ooh, my nose! :P

Don't forget Sarah's nick which says - I'm blessed.

Mhm, this is life.

Sowie, Penang was great. Like absolutely wonderland. :D
Hmm, gonna let the pictures do the talking, yea?

First Day; August 14th

So, on the ride there I was enjoying life with the entire back seat all to myself with chips and Science! hahah. Okay fine, doing Science is so not enjoying life. x)

There was the police in front of us with a number plate WHY
&& air pollution! TSK!

Penang bridge. Hmm, it was boring.

Stayed at YMCA for a night after picking up Mommy from the One Life Exhibition. It was super cool kay, they arrived back at the hotel at 12pm after tearing down the exhibition, with Mackers! Mm, midnight feast.

Second Day; August 15th

Went to a Botanic Garden. Took pictures of flowers!

Err, I moved. So therefore, a really COOL pic.

Went to check out hotels. The rug was really cool.

The beach! It was so deserted, like hello!
IT'S THE BEACH PEOPLES! :P

Mm, the swimming pool. It was raining, and we were swimming.

Third Day; August 16th

After breakfast, we had a walk along the beach for the last time.

Then, off we went to home! :D

Hmm, the last joke. So on the way there..
Dad Omg, there's a sign encouraging divorce.
Hazel What, where?

Next day..
Dad Eh Mommy, we saw a divorce sign on our way here.
Mom Really! That's terrible!!
Lydia and Hazel *burst into laughter*
Mom What?

This was the divorce sign.

Hahahah! That is like Lame Joke #3. My dad was like hilarious. For example, at lunch in Ipoh, he ordered beef noodles without the noodles. We were like, 'ello! =X

Hmm, interestingly, on the way back I didn't have that sober thought, "Vacation is over." Because guess what? VACATION IS HERE! bbhbedh, school is OUT. Woo! hahah. Well, it'll be one busy busy week. Have to go for dance class cause I'm dancing for the 30-hour famine thing for World Vision as well as setting up the stadium on Saturday and selling merchandise on Sunday at the famine.

Mm, ciao. =)

yet not an ordinary day.

Well, today I pitched of the the "so called" restricted school with chicken poxs. We arrived there to find Fai walking around everywhere. Appearantly the center wasn't open but Mr Fan was inside, and he didn't dare go in. hahah. We didn't dare knock on the door, and were about to walk to Wee's house when Mr Fan must of heard us, and opened the door. Did my 710 test that I was suppose to do yesterday. =P Bee arrived and decided to join me and Matthew to a visit at Shab's. We walked there ourselves, since Shab took ages coming to 'pick us up'. It was quite fun, laughing and talking. And man, Nyvish with his classic comments about who's with who in the school. "You know! Paullyn likes Tommy. No, seriously!" Matthew was like, "what! Serious ahh?" o_O hahah.

Went to the park and hung out. It was just totally unfair cause someone finally beat me in swinging. Well, actually, same height, but i gave up, I was just totally exhausted! =\ I don't care Matthew Tan, I'm gonna beat you one day. x) Oh, and yea. It was funny. People throwing MY SHOES at each other while I watch them on top of the slide and yea.. Matthew sweating till it drips!

Well, then lunch. Was sitting with Paullyn, and she immediately told me from the start, "Hazel, I'm not scared of cats anymore." I was like, "REALLYY!" There was a cat around, and she stood up with her apple juice and started looking for it. We were like, "what are you going to do? Drench it in apple juice?" hahahaa! Then later, "eee, the cat is pregnant!" HAHAHAA. She asked, "Do cats give birth to eggs or cats?" It was SO hilarious! =D

okayy, enough for now. It was quite a fun day, except after lunch I was really bored. =X Hmms, Shab I want to pics. Paullyn, boys code! She herself said her's is #4. HAHAHAA. And foreva #14. =)

when I'm with you.

Taylor Swift I'm Only Me When I'm With You

Boyaa! Whatcha day. I practically died of boredom. Really. So yea, I was studying for my 710 Science test and got my LifePAC test from my sis (Uncle Kevin let her take it back for me) and well, yea. Opened the test, and literally got such a shock! There wasn't a thing I studied in the book. Seriously, I got so freaked out quickly glancing through the questions. After a while, I was like, "You know, this can't be the right test!" And when I checked to see what test it was.. it was Science 801!! Geesh, bummers! I was like screaming my head off scolding myself for not checking in school! Really, like my form of swearing, but without the bad words. ;D

So yea, instead I made it up by doing my Math 907 test which I planned to take tomorrow. It was okay, quite simple stuff. My sis kinda scored it for me, and she said I'll pass - even if i made some careless mistakes. =\ Man, the joy of being in 908! =) I'm going to beat you, Naomi. ;) Then, for Jon I go! :P

'Nways, my speed in my work is kind of freaking me out. (: Geesh, July is over and I've done 12 LifePACs in total, if I get to that Science 710 by tomorrow. Most of my subjects I'm already half way through 9th grade. And..erm, I only started 9th grade for real only 2 months ago. x) Somehow, work seems really easy these days. That's why I can't wait to relax! Penang!! =D

Okay, so here's the random pics. :D

..and I started Home Ex in June and it's already Unit 3. =P
Seriously, it's like the funniest subject eva!

Yes, the messy dinning table. Spot those doodles. d=

grins. What else can I say? No name stated. xD

Well, the red flag came waving, and I've just been hit with this unbearable cramp and a totally lifeless mood. Who knows why one gets so tired. Seriously! At times, to the point of exhaustion. What a descriptive word. =P

Other than that, I miss school. I miss my Wednesdays full of exercise! =)
--

I'm only up when you're not down
Don't wanna fly if you're still on the ground
It's like no matter what i do
Well you drive me crazy half the time
The other half I'm only trying to
Let you know that what I feel is true
I'm only me when I'm with you

Man, this song is addictive. (:

Days fly by, and go away...

Vacation is almost over...how swiftly it has gone. What a week! Let's see. The first two days were boring ones, prisoner in my own house. On Wed the day was quite fun yet challenging and I got a bit emo. We went to school around 12:30 and I couldn't even go down to the center! Shabeta asked me if I wanted to go and eat and I said sure but changed my mind after I found out that Sarah was downstairs. Changing my mind didn't really help! Shabi forced me to go, weather I liked it or not! We got a ride from Brenda's mom and the three smaller ones had to sit in the boot! Happens to be that I'm one of the three smaller ones! How horrid! It was extremely squishy and hot! Anyway, I was glad to get out...

Back in the center, I had more fun. I guess you could call it fun. I got emo. Though no one noticed. Or, if they noticed, they didn't do anything about it. I was dead bored and mad at people and Sarah was gonna leave soon and all... yea... saddening... anyway, Sarah did leave soon and I helped Celine pack up her bag and carried it up for her. Then I hugged Sarah again and Celine again. Sarah! I'm gonna miss you like crazy! Who am I gonna talk to when I'm emo at school? And who is gonna hug me like you do, Celine? **sob** i miss you guys already...

the emoness of a Hazel... no one will ever understand me...cool poem...

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
And share with you its beauty
On the days you're feeling blue.

If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own;
A place to find serenity,
A place to be alone.

If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea,
But all these things I'm finding
Are impossible for me.

I cannot build a mountain
Or catch a rainbow fair,
But let me be what I know best,
A friend who's always there.

(and I'll do it for you if only you'll care again...)

Mile can't keep us apart, because you'll alway be in my heart.
