foolishness and folly

For now, however, the world exhibits a certain stability. The first disturbance to the stasis does not seem threatening; it is a phony crisis of little consequence. But in fact it exposes the seeds of danger. It reveals a society easily destabilized. It shows that beneath the jovial and trivial surface resides some dangerously tender egos. It introduces men whose need for honor can make them provoke the king into setting in motion the inexorable machinery of the empire. It shows us people who try to impose their will on others and who identify strength with rigidity, who fear that flexibility proves weakness and who regard obduracy as the essence of the law. Rigidity of this sort will place severe barriers before the book's heroes, who will be forced to work around them in a way that Vashti could not and would not.

as long as I'm laughing with you.

So, I'm here to talk nonsense and whatsoever, just so that my blog is updated. Recently, words fail me and after typing about one paragraph, I delete the entire post and sign out of Wordpress. It is way to difficult to type out an entire blog post that actually gives me satisfaction.

Honestly, its because I've grown to realize that this world is way too shallow for words, and writing about shallow things sometimes is very pointless. Although, at times, reading nonsense can be good for the soul. Too much seriousness should probably be classified as a disease.

Anyhow, on Wednesday, I skipped school because I was 'so-called' sick. I spent a very unproductive time groaning at home, trying to do some work, and sleeping with music blasting in my ears. Certain times during the month can be very unbearable, if you know what I mean. :P

On Thursday, I produced a note written by my dad to Mr. Nicholas, requesting that I might be able to take my Science LPT home with me, so I could take it during the weekend. I'm sure it made Mr. Nicholas' day because my daddy had drawn a HOUSE beside the word HOME. Everyone was gathering around the note with 'oouuhh's and 'ahhh's at the apparent cuteness of it. Mr. Nicholas walked all the way to my desk in the hall just to ask me whether my dad actually drew that. xD

Later on, when Mr. Nicholas asked me how I was doing in Science, he added that if I needed help, my dad could help me, couldn't he? The thought of my dad helping me in Science - too hilarious. My family is far from scientific.

Anyhow, concerning my Science LPT, I am far from finished with studying it.

It just dawned on me that May is almost over. Well, no, it dawned on me early than just because I am rushing to finish three more lifepac tests in a matter of one more school day. (Now you understand why I brought one home.) But honestly, it seemed like just yesterday we were rushing with the planning of camp. Now camp's over, and there's only about 3 more days left in May. Before we know it, June will be over, then July.

July... when I officially become a part-time single child. :) It's pretty bittersweet in a way. Although I get the computer, phone, camera all to myself, there's no one to split the chores with. I mean, I'll probably be busier than ever. (Currently, I'm enjoying the luxury of doing hardly any chores since my sister rots at home with all the time in the world.)

If I had all the time in the world, I seriously wouldn't mind doing all the chores in the household either. :)

Anyway, Kat's in Kenya currently, Bee leaves for Australia soon, and then comes the two week school holidays. I myself will be heading off the Fraser's. 2nd quarter of the school year will be over before we know it. The daily cycle of life shall continue. Ever catch yourself asking, "What am I living for?" I do.

I really should go study for my Science. Maybe finish off The Beekeeper's Apprentice too. :) Have a great weekend, marshmellows. :D

crazy week.

Its already been one week since camp. Time is just too fast. And it's like, I kept on telling myself I'll work hard after camp and I did totally the opposite. Hardly did what you could call "HARD WORK" this week. It was just hectic. Again. I don't think I'll ever get a week that's normal and boring.

Well, I guess I should be thankful for pretty eventful weeks. :) Haha. This week didn't start of exactly well, but it ended on a totally HAPPY note.

Anyway, yesterday we had a birthday bash with the signature program being a 6 foot long ice cream sundae. I know you're sad you missed it. :) We made TWO 6 foot long sundaes. The first one turned out extremely nice. Like, perfect. Bananas on the bottom, ice cream, then caramel and chocolate, whipped cream, and then cherries and wafers to top it off. The second one was a different story. The guys arrived late so we let them make a second round. It was disastrous. Ice cream and whipped cream all mixed up together, with matthew squeezing chocolate sauce on like no one's business.

And of course, we girls all fell in love with Ridgley. :) Shoo adorable. P/s. I get to see him soon, quel. HOHO.

After everyone left and we cleaned up and all (it was really messy!), we went for dinner at McD's. Quel and Lyd's were looking out for the good looking players in the replay match of Barcelona vs. Inter Milan. xD

All the usual in sleepovers. I have free phone calls today but sadly, #1: I have a huge phobia of talking on the phone - unless its Quel or Sarah. and #2: I don't even have my phone with me. D:

Yea. So its my sister's birthday today, and she's not even at home. Left early this morning with Ryan while I was still fast asleep. So although I didn't even SEE her today or get to wish her happy birthday, I shall here.

Yes, overly exaggerated smiles are awesome. :)

Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHECH. Je t'aime.

best days of my life

'Cause I'll be there in the back of your mind
From the day we met till you were making me cry
And it's just too bad you've already had the best days
The best days of your life

SOAR Camp 2010 is officially over. I'm pretty emotional cause I kept on thinking, "okay, next year we'll do this instead of that" and whatnot when I realized that....

It was my freaking last school camp.

Anyhow, it was overall a good experience cause I learned a lot. I ran around, stressed out, sweated till I was soaking, learned how to barbecue efficiently FAST, fell into mud, and got classified as a bimbo by my 2 buddies who went earlier with moi.

Big thankyou to Sarah, Kat, Jon Teh and the rest of the committee.

Not forgetting my Bee, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. She was the most helpful camper ever. Partly cause she wanted her team to win, but loved the spirit. She was rewarded best camper, and I think she deserved it. ;) I LOVEE YOUUU. *HUGS!*

And Jo, you are so awesome. I think you were an awesome team leader despite the fact that it was so last minute, your raft failed, and you fell sick. Thank you for destressing me and accompanying me in the van. :)

OH, AND THANKS TO MS CATH, JON TEH, AND JO FOR LAUGHING AT ME WHEN I FELL IN THE MUD. D: HAHA.

Big thumbs-up to Hardcore. You guys were amazing. It just proves the fact that GIRLS ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. :)

I can't believe none of you know I love poptarts. :)

To end of the camp, Jon Teh - our china man - smartly pulled his suitcase up the stairs and the whole handle fell off in the process. His face was CLASSIC. HAHAHA. Seriously, look who's the BIMBO now.

Well anyhow, I went shopping with the sister today. Bought a summer dress from Kitschen, it is soooo niceeee. :) I was like walking at a snail pace, my sister got impatient. Not exactly my fault, I am so tired.

Lyds is at the pool with this American family who have the cutest two boys with blue eyes. I declined joining as my eyes are drooping.

Couldn't get any work done. :O Better go try and study for an LPT. Or take a nap, either options sound appealing.

contradicting

CAMP? =\

I'm so excited for it to come, but more excited for it to pass.

this world keeps on spinning faster.

I heart ♥ ♥ Lady Antebellum. :)

Its been another crazy week. Visited the Broga campsite last Thursday. It was pretty fun yet not. I felt pretty sick, almost got gastric because we had a late lunch, and worked hard in the car.

Leap. Of. Faith. :)

Due to that visit, I became extremely behind in my tight schedule and worked my butt off today. I basically did 14 pages of Math, 10 pages of Essentials of Communication, a LA ST, and some Bible.

I'm not exactly sure which day of the week I should be looking forward to nowadays. Cause once its weekends, I'm like, "Oh great, now I can catch up in my work." and then I tire out myself more than on the weekdays.

Well, I'll just work extra hard this weekend, and then next: CAMP. :D

Time flies way too fast.

hero.

If I had all the time in the world, I would...
- Watch Dear John
- Go swimming
- Jump around and break out dancing
- Join cheerleading :D
- Go shopping
- Read nonstop
- Be carefree.
